Sunday/Monday Posts - January 23rd and 24th

The Sunday Post is a weekly meme hosted by Kimba the Caffeinated Book Reviewer ~ It's a chance to share news~ A post to recap the past week on your blog, showcase books and things we have received and share news about what is coming up on our blog for the week ahead.

If you'd like to participate with The Sunday Salon, it is now a Facebook group.

It’s Monday! What Are You Reading is a meme with a new host!  It's now being hosted by Kathryn at Book Date. This is where we share what we read this past week, what we hope to read this week…. and anything in between! This is a great way to plan out your reading week and see what others are currently reading as well… you never know where that next “must read” book will come from!

I'm also linking to  Stacking The Shelves which is hosted by Team Tynga's Reviews.

Happy Snow Clean Up Sunday!

I'm getting a late start with posting this.  It's been a rough week between a sick husband and ending with two feet of snow.  I've been neglecting my blog and will probably be away more than here for the next couple of weeks.  I'm going to take a break from doing memes for a bit...not forever, just for a little while so I can catch up and take care of other things.  I will continue to post reviews as I do them and participate in blog tours that I'm signed up for already.

I'm pretty much caught up on my TV viewing.  The new show DC's Legends of Tomorrow has potential. Nice to have The 100 back.  I'm enjoying the new show on the USA Network called Colony.  Tonight is The X-Files and I've been anxiously waiting for that one.

I hope you all have a great week.  What's been happening in your part of the world?

Yvonne

  1. I'm looking forward to Weiss's book. It sounds like it will be a good one. :-)

I hope you are able to get caught up like you want. Hopefully your husband will be feeling better soon. We have a full Sunday planned. Or at least my daughter does for us. She has an entire list of things she wants us to do today and since they all sound reasonable, I think we'll probably do them. :-) That and the usual grocery shopping.

Have a good week, Yvonne. Stay safe and warm.

  3. Killer Run looks fun. And so does No Cats Allowed. I missed Legends of Tomorrow but did catch The 100. What did you think of it? I was a little disappointed with the premiere but still nice to have it back.

Two feet of snow- yikes! Hope you guys can dig out without too much trouble...

  4. Hope your week goes better and I'm glad to see that you are taking a bit of a break. I think we all need that at times or this blogging thing becomes tiresome. Hope your husband's illness is better. Take care!

  6. I read Killer Run a few weeks ago and enjoyed it and about to start Murder on Wheels. I worry with how quickly Cahoon puts out books that the quality will go down but so far I'm enjoying the series. I hope your husband feels better and you don't have to go anywhere in all that snow. It sounds miserable but good reading weather. Have a great week!

  11. Keen to hear how you're enjoying The 100. It will be ages before s3 is out on DVD here in Australia!

Sorry to hear your husband hasn't been well and that on top of the weather must be really stressful, so take care!
